Fans shocked as ex Premier League Referee is actually Irish: football fans were totally shocked as regular sky pundit and ex ref Dermot Gallagher is Irish.
Dermot Gallagher was a Premier League referee who’s career spanned from 1992 to 2007. He refereed some of the Worlds greatest players across that time span of two decades. Gallagher later transitioned into Sky Sports, working as a pundit to give his opinions of referees and their decision making.
The former ref has a clearly strong English accent with many automatically believing him to be from England. However, after an interview on Off The Ball with Joe Molloy fans were shocked he was actually Irish. Even presenter Molly tweeted afterwards.
“Tough to take, but it seems the scoop of my career really will be Dermot Gallagher’s accent”.

To everyone’s shock, Gallagher had a Dublin accent and was totally unrecognisable from his Sky Sports self. Fans took to Twitter to voice their shock at the contrast of his accent change. He revealed throughout the interview that he had to hide his accent and put on an English one. This after Sky told him he would be more appealing to audiences and people could understand him better.
“When I first started on Sky TV, they were very conscious of the words that I couldn’t pronounce. I had to watch the BBC News to try and practice.”
He later went onto say that his accent is changeable depending on the situation and who he’s talking to.
“It’s because I am talking to Irish people,”
“My best mate Alan Wiley gives me no end of stick because I have to crank it down for English people.”

Hamilton signs new Mercedes deal until 2022: After a tense month of negotiation, Lewis Hamilton has finally signed a one year extension with Mercedes.
After nearly a little over a month of negotiation, World Champion Lewis Hamilton has signed a new deal. Previous speculation over the delay of the Englishman’s signature was because of money and length of contract.
The deal will extend Hamilton’s stay with Mercedes for one season until 2022 when further negation will take place. This deal is said to include two clauses for both parties. The first is that both Hamilton and Mercedes want the freedom and flexibility of a short term deal.
The second is then that both driver and team will create and campaign for a new charity aimed at tackling diversity. Mercedes was quoted on the matter saying:
“We will have the mission of supporting greater diversity and inclusion in all its forms in motorsport”.
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has ended talk of why the deal was taking as long as it did. Original reports stated that Hamilton was in talks to sign a deal after winning the World Championship in Bahrain. Wolff commented to autosport.com on the delay, saying:
“We wanted to discuss the contract at the end of the 2020 season between the Bahrain races. Then obviously, Lewis didn’t feel well.
“In the end, we started our conversation just before Christmas, so it was important to get it done as soon as possible.

For Hamilton and his team, they now set their minds on the new season which is set to start in Bahrain on March 28th.

Roy Keane’s hilarious reaction to his viral FIFA 21 TikTok: Fellow sky sports pundit Micah Richards shows Roy Keane his hilarious viral TikTok.
Roy Keane is generally associated as the iconic footballing hard man, both in football and in punditry. However, a TikTok created of him a week ago dancing on Fifa 21 was sure to get a reaction.
The video was created by the user chr0megn0me which sees Keane on Fifa 21 dancing to the app’s latest dance craze. The dance is created from a mash up of “Toxic” by Britney Spears, “Love Shack” by The B-52’s, and “Dragula” by Rob Zombie.
Roy Keane, the man who rarely cracks a smile would be the last person dancing so elaborately. However, with the video going viral via Twitter, fans begged Micah Richards to show Keane in the studio.
The two have formed an unlikely bromance on Sky despite playing for rival sides of Manchester. Richards did not disappoint fans as he too wanted to see the Irishman’s reaction tweeting:
“A lot of fans asked me to show Roy a funny video from TikTok and I wasn’t going to let you all down… I just can’t play you the real audio.”
The former Blue didn’t let us down as he made sure Roy’s reaction was videoed.  Keane is seen frowning at the video in disgust while Richards and Souness are in stitches laughing. Micah, with his trademark laugh, said
“Roy, talk me through this video.”
